How verification works
- Each proof receives a unique Codex ID
- The ID is recorded in a public append-only registry
- No document is stored — only its fingerprint
Codex-Log operates as an independent trust layer.
Codex Proof Verification
Codex-Log allows you to verify the existence and timestamp of a recorded evidentiary act within an independent registry, without ever accessing the content of the document.
Two verification methods are available, depending on what you have:
By CODEX ID:
If you have a CODEX identifier (e.g. CDX-XXXX-XXXX), you can instantly verify that it corresponds to a valid record in the public Codex-Log registry.
By PDF document:
If you have the original document, you can upload it to recalculate its cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256) and verify that it exactly matches the one recorded at the time of sealing.
In both cases, no document is stored and no personal data is retained.
Only the cryptographic fingerprint and its associated timestamp serve as proof of existence at a given time.
Codex-Log acts as an independent trust layer, ensuring public, neutral, and verifiable proof.
